In sunny Los Angeles we have "diners" that play diner dress-up that I'm assuming are no where near the real NJ thing. I've always loved the copycats for what they were but I know I'm missing out.
Luckily in a couple weeks I'll be driving from Manhattan to Virginia Beach, VA along the I-95 and I think this would be a great chance to stop for a true diner experience.
So here is my question: Where can I stop along the I-95 for breakfast or even lunch that would do a thoroughly job at schooling me in what a true diner actually is.
