Dim-Sum for a newby......

Insatiable | Apr 25, 2003 09:58 AM

Hey Chowhounds.

I'm planning on introducing a friend and her husband to Dim-Sum this Sunday. We haven't seen each other in a while, she (and her husband) want to try new things, and we both want to make an excursion into Chinatown.

Because of scheduling conflicts...the plans look like this; Golden Unicorn @ 1:00 on Sunday.

I figure Golden Unicorn would be a good standard from which to start them. Also, the subtitled carts make selection much easier for the uninitiated.

BUT: A) Is Golden Unicorn as a standard a good assumption? and B) Will 1:00 be too late in the afternoon to get a table and/or any good Dim-Sum selections?

Any feedback, suggestions, or alternate recommendations are welcome.
(That's why we're all here, after all.)
