Difara's really is better than any pizza in New York including Grimaldi's which is second best. I think Difara's is better due to the genius and dedication of Dominick. He makes every pizza by hand and creates masterpice after masterpice. The Grimaldi pie, while still wonderful esp out od the coal oven is more mass produced and is just not as stimulating to the atste buds.
The second best slice comes from The House of Pizza and Calzone in on Caroll Street.
And finally steven (fat-guy) shaw seems to think manhattan pizza on average is better than brooklyn pizza. BALONEY!!!!!!!
Take a walk in Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Caroll Gardens and you will find almost every Pizza shop to be far more consistently good than the mass produced pizzarias of Manhattan. Please research your pizza before you make wild statements.
