I've come to the realization that anything on the counter at Di Palo's is delicious and without question should be grabbed. Olives, marinated artichokes, wax cow figurines, whatever. Just get it because no doubt you'll wonder how you lived your life without tasting it before now.
So today as I was buying away and scouring the counter for goodies, I noticed something I'd never seen before: homemade meat strombolis. I picked one up and it was still warm. The grease still lightly coats my fingers as I type this up. It was absolutely delicious. Bread: soft. Several layers of meat, just don't ask me what kind, was too busy eating. Maybe a salami was in there... And it was *just* greasy enough.
Oh they also now have homemade lasagna, but it wasn't on the counter ;-)
