I'm cooking at a community meal once a week that uses donated ingredients, and right now we have a lot of frozen strawberries, blueberries, and cranberries.
I am looking for some new ideas for desserts using these. We've already made strawberry apple crisp and strawberry parfait (making a jam like sauce by cooking down the frozen strawberries with some sugar, and then layering it with cake crumbs and whipped cream).
Standard baking ingredients (milk, butter, sugar, flour) are available, as well as heavy cream for whipping.
Cooking and cooling time can't be more than two hours from start to finish.
Thanks for your thoughts.
