I'm thinking about taking a dear friend out for dessert on their birthday and wd-50's 5 course tasting menu looks excellent. I'm wondering though if anyone has any experience with the new pastry chef Malcolm Livingston II. Most of the reviews I've found online are for the previous chef Alex Stupak.
Also for people who've done the dessert tasting, would you recommend sharing one tasting or should each of us get our own plate (Is sharing even possible?) We'll be coming from dinner elsewhere so we'll have eaten already. The pictures on the website don't make the desserts look terribly massive but with 5 courses I'm sure it gets filling. We will definitely be ordering a few classes of wine to pair with dessert.
