I thought it would be fun (and self-serving) to ask for peoples' favorite dessert picks from area restaurants/bakeries/gelaterias/other.
My contribution: the panna cotta at Magazine, 20th and Walnut. A snow-white, flan-shaped little cloud of happiness on a plate. I was informed by our server that it's basically just sugar and gelatin, but the subtlety of sweetness in this thing is truly...intellectual. Comes with a slightly warm blanket of berry compote. Thinking about it is making me want to take a nap. If I recall correctly, it was $6.
