Looks like a new place. Menu seems largely Northern Indian (Moghul, Punjabi, I think), with a few nods to the South in the form of dosas, uttapams.
Vegetable samosas were ok but unexceptional, except for the clean lack of greasiness. Enjoyed the chutneys (mint, mango, pickled onion?) -- these were served from a refrigerated stock and seemed crisper.
Lamb rogan josh was very good. Smooth blending of spices; I got to taste maybe a rare shred of ginger or an occasional sliver of almond, but in general the flavours integrated well into the saffron yellow orange sauce, thickened with yogurt and oil. Lamb was cooked firm but tender. Gentle, articulate rice.
Pretty good gulab jamun, served warmed and cut into halves. Would often catch a light crunch oftiny sugar crystals on the surface, beneath thet syrup.
