Derek's Bistro - Swordfish

If you are fond of grilled Swordfish, you may want to make your way to Derek’s Bistro in Pasadena. My friend brought me my own order from there last night and it was fantastic. It is a special and I know they were serving in on Valentine’s Day as well.
The fish was grilled with a mild seasoning of salt and tarragon. That is really all it needed as it was served with the most delectable grilled vegetable succotash. Not just any regular old succotash either, this had purple onions, zucchini, sweet white corn, a type of chili (green, it had a sweet-ish taste and was not spicy – maybe Ortega?). Absolutely sublime.
The fish came with a Beurre blanc-type sauce (may have had a touch of mustard in it as well) which the fish played off beautifully. Actually, by the time I got it, the sauce had spread into the succotash and made it even that much better. I believe it was around $36 for this entrée.
She also brought me an order of their bread pudding which I love. Yes, she is a good friend!
