I'm currently using a cheap and nasty electric frying pan, and a couple of cheap pots on the electric coil cook top for my cooking. I have a Demeyere Atlantis saute pan in storage (in another country) and am contemplating bring it 'here'. My cooktop is slanting, uneaven, heats in patches and is just all rounded shocking.
I'm wondering if the saute pan will over come the evilness of my cooktop? Is it worth while? Is there a risk of killing the pan (warping) if I use it on a 'very' uneven cooktop?
Also would it be worth while bring back a sauce pan also? I mean I spend about 20 mins bringing 2 litres of water to the boil because of the uneven coils. Would an Atlantis sauce pan work a lot more efficently then a cheap and nasty stainless steel pan on a nasty cooktop?
Looking forward to hearing what people have to say.
