Just had lunch at DeMarco's Pizza on W.Houston, which opened today. Unfortunately, it's no DiFara's. The artisanal approach found in Midwood isn't on display. The sauce seems to be the same, and the cheese is tasty (though definitely not the same), but the crust is a major disappointment. If not for the initial stories, there's no way you would think there's a connection between the two places. Overall, it's above average for a neighborhood pizza spot, but so far, nothing exceptional.
I'll try them a few more times in the coming weeks, but it looks like I'm still riding the Q train.
