Couple of things of note happening in Delray/Boca area...
*Smoke BBQ on Atlantic Ave will now be offering the Pastrami their Fort Laud store has been selling for the past year or so. The FtL pitmaster trained under Blue Willy, I believe. Unlike BW's, their is offered every day.
*From restaurateur Burt Rappaport, "Rappy's Deli" opening very soon in Boca (near Yamato and Military). Stated goal is to match NY Jewish deli quality pastrami. I don't know how it's going to turn out but I do know they've been working on it for about a year.
*Harvest Seasonal Grill opening this week in the Linton Trader Joe's plaza.
Exec Chef is Bill Ring, long-time sous at 32. Seems to be sort of a smaller type Seasons 52 concept.
*Banyan opening this week in Pineapple Grove, in between Max's Harvest and The Grove.
*Lou Bossi coming to location of Spot Coffee / Cafe Bleu - will be a huge project and not happening for quite a while.
*Rok Brgr coming in Feb to replace the shuttered Tryst, whose owners supposed to be actively looking for new spot elsewhere (away from high-rent Ave).
I've not yet been to Che, the Argentinian concept that's taken over the historically tough spot on the east side of the Instracoastal (nee Old Calypso and several others).
