For anyone who's interested, it's down in Salisbury this year at The Centre, which is their mall in Town. I guess it's held in the parking lot as it is an outdor event, but hopefully the location is not as dreadful as it sounds. Every year it is held in a different Delmarva town in such locations as a fairground or park. Part mass food chowdown, part kid's carnival, part auto show, part protest event by United Poultry Concern, it is a celebration of, for or against, Delmarva's biggest industries: chickens and soy beans. If anything, one must attend to see the world's largest frying pan, some 10 or 12 feet in diameter, in which is cooked the fried chicken one buys. There is bar-b-qued chicken as well. The event still has a tinge of an old-fashioned carnival - I think they still have a Miss Poultry Queen contest.
