Last Saturday night we went to the MFA showing of Ansel Adams and then went to dine at Union in the South End. As the MFA show ended at 4:45, we had a reservation for 5:30 and were the second table to be seated. What a fabulous space!! I love the seating. Our party of five dined on Heirloom Tomato and Squash Bisque, Sweet Corn Risotto, Seared Scallops over Polenta, Steak Tenderloin, Haddock with smoked chanterelles and Trout wrapped in Proscuitto. I have to say that all of the dishes were hits! The tenderloin diner said he had never had a steak done to such perfection. We all wanted tubs of the Bisque. Only my husband and I are drinkers, so no wine with this meal, but my pear martini before dinner was a real treat! We never felt rushed. As the restaurant filled up (to capacity), we never felt as though they wanted us to leave so they could have our table. Love this place!
Sunday brought another culinary adventure with the ECQ Sunday brunch. Fish Tacos - ymmm with Bloody Mary bar and afterwards - another musuem!
Quite a cultural and culinary weekend.
