Two places in Del Ray that serve pizza (and a bunch of other stuff) are Del Ray Pizza and Lena's Wood Fired Pizza. I wish I could say I am enthusiastic about these places, but I am surprised just how boring their pizzas are. Maybe it's that the ingredients don't have that fresh tasting tang of tomato-ey sauce, but the crusts are not particularly tasty. Using the correct ingredients is not enough. They are well-made discs without the yeasty aroma of an excellent crust.
Or perhaps I'm just spoiled because of Pupatella which remains superb.
