I'm going to London on Monday, Dec 18 to Dec 24, (impromptu trip) and have been researching restaurants like a mad woman. I've narrowed the list to the restaurants below, but I can't possibly eat at all of them and was hoping London Chowhounds could weigh in on my selection (and if I miss a great one, let me know that too). I probably don't need to preface this but: I'm looking for those under-talked about great neighborhood "finds," not necessarily in Central London (I'm willing to go all over to eat at lovely restaurants)...the ones frequented by locals...the ones that aren't hyped...I'm looking for humble but great. Here's the list:
Cork and Bottle Wine Bar
The White Horse
The Real Greek
Cafe Rayon d'or
The Haxted Mill
Gordon's Wine Bar
Thanks in advance. --Danielle in San Francisco
