Deceptively Delicious

Apologies ahead of time as this is far from gourmet... I have the Deceptively Delicious cookbook and have made a number of the purees. I had some beets (not a big fan of these) and so I roasted and pureed them. The cookbook really only has one recipe for the pureed beets and that is a chocolate cake. Trying to not serve my boys chocolate yet (they are 2 1/2) because of the caffeine (don't want them to stay up when it is time to sleep)... anyway, does any one have any other ideas/suggestions for the beet puree? Looking for something similar in the sense that it will be incorporated into a recipe without being able to taste it since I'm not a big beet fan. Thanks so much...
