Decent little restaurant in Barstow, Calif.

I just got back to Ft. Stewart, GA from the Ft. Irwin National Training Center. Unfortunately, there's no good seafood (my dietary staple) in the Mojave Desert. However, we did get the chance to go into Barstow a few times, and we found a little restaurant named Rosalita's. I had...well, I can't remember the name (I studied German, not Spanish), but it had large portions of cut steak, rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, etc. etc. Although the beef was a little on the tough side (just a little) it was still juicy and quite tasty. They were also a little stingy with the tortillas, but the tortillas clearly did not come out of a box. Not the greatest Tex-Mex I've ever had, but pretty good and a LARGE portions. If you find yourself in Barstow, it's definitely worth a try.

God Bless America,
