About 10 years ago I was in New Orleans visiting a friend of mine at Tulane and she took me to Frankie and Johnnie's, which was great because it had excellent food and, at least at that time, was not touristy. I think part of what makes the New Orleans restaurant scene great are the unbelievable restaurants that mostly only locals know about. There aren't too many undiscovered places in D.C.
My wife is coming with me to New Orleans for a weekend and I was hoping for suggestions for these types of places. We're staying at the Wyndham Canal Place, but have a car. Any and all advice is much appreciated.
