I saw a posting about this place a ways down the board so thought I'd start a new thread. Went there yesterday on a whim after seeing Picasso-Matisse at MoMA. This seems to be the kind of place where Frank Sinatra would have hung out: plush, formal waiters, and a piano lounge up front. But yes, a lot of attitude and OVERPRICED. The food was good and tasty in an old fashioned garlicky sort of way, but appetizers were about $10-12, main courses $20 to $30, side dishes are several dollars extra and it's just not worth it. The silliest part was the wine list - this big leather bound book with a page of rock gut listings under $20; the rest devoted to wines from $150 - $300 or thereabouts. Give me a break!
