I've been thinking about planning a few culinary adventures this year right in my hometown. I've lived here for nearly 20 years and have only ducked in and out of some neighborhoods never getting much of an authentic experience.
My first attempt is a day in the heart of Chinatown.
General plan is...
Take MUNI to Chinatown
Late lunch (duck would be nice)
More exploring and walking
Recommendations would be great. Just to clarify though...I've lived here for 20 years and consider myself pretty adventurous and knowledgeable about our restaurants. So, even though Great Eastern might be your favorite dim sum, ideally I'm looking for something a little less obvious.
