Had lunch here today based on a high percentage of recommendations from Urban Spoon. Did not disappoint. This is a Lao/Thai cafe and you can get your cravings for pho and pad thai, should you have both at the same time, taken care of in one spot.
Friend and I ordered potstickers (because I ALWAYS have to have potstickers if they are on the menu.) 8 to an order which is a good size for $4. I've had better but these were far from the worst I have ever had. Then we ordered a large pho #18 (rare steak) but asked to add meatballs. Not a problem. They have various phos with various types of meats including tripe and tendon. Since I'm not normally a tripe person, unless its really good menudo, I passed on that combination. A large bowl easily feeds two with leftovers. Broth was very good and garnish plate of basil, jalapenos, lime and bean sprouts was appreciated. Our other entree was the spicy noodles with chicken. You tell them a spicy level of 1-5 (5 is spiciest). I went with 3 and for someone who LOVES spicy food, this was a good heat level. Definitely cleared the sinuses but did not overpower the noodles and the vegetables. Add in a couple of thai iced teas and we had a very enjoyable meal. Service was good and by the time we left place was full. Total for 2 including tip was $35.00. I would definitely recommend it.
