Six of us had dinner last night at David Burke and Donatella......while the food was really wonderful, the evening was a disaster for the following reasons
1). Too many tables crammed into the dining room- the waiters had to ask the people at our table to pass around the dishes as they were served as they couldn't reach....we can tell you the intimate details of the five tables in our area because they were practically in our lap.
2). Haughty service- when we specified that we didn't want bottled water, they sniffed at us and walked away
3). Only two bathrooms for the entire restaurant, one was out of order
4). David Burke kept coming out of the kitchen when his band of senior wait staff brought to his attention, VIP's, and the rest of us paying full price were treated like dirt
In New York City, it is no miracle to get wonderful food, but when you are crammed in like sardines and treated like you are an indigent person , all for the lovely experience of over $150.00 per person, don't do us any favors.
