so i was doing a test run of dates stuffed with parm and wrapped with prosciutto - a variation of the bacon wrapped dates with blue that is getting a lot of chatter (cannot stand blue and so I opted for the substitution which also came recommended here).
I simply didn't like it. I tried a couple with regular prosciutto and some with speck - all wrapped nearly twice around, baked for 25 min at 350. Way way way too much date (don't get me wrong - i like sweet and savory) and even if I liked them slightly I could only eat just one.
Looks like I am gonna stick with the old standby of bacon wrapped scallops for an app.
