Dat Donuts: South Side vs. North Side Location

puddinghead | Dec 30, 2002 01:12 PM

I have recently begun frequenting the North Side Dat Donuts near the Thorndale Red Line stop. I greatly enjoy the fluffy substantiality of DD's dough, and am absolutely wild about their frosting--especially the caramel and strawberry varieties. From what I gather, though, the north side donuts are actually delivered from the south side bakery. I'm just wondering if anyone has tasted a hot, fresh donut from the south side location, and how it compares to a cooled version. Does the quality of the donut fall off as it cools? If so, Dat Donuts hot donuts must be truly amazing....because the room temperature imported donuts are excellent.
