Oh Darling, brunch was simply devine @ the The Peninsula today

Good heavens, am I the only one that has not been here for brunch? What a total slice of bliss – sat outside, weather was perfect, service was quiet and attentive. Other patrons were quiet and well behaved. bread basket to die for. Perrier jouet grand brut started flowing and that’s all I remember – other than the food, the starter’s are a whole meal in themselves, mac and cheese, duck/plum sauce things wrapped in micro wraps, bbq shrimp, lox, chicken nuggets – I was stuffed before the mains hit, and what mains, white fish, citrus poached salmon, flat iron steak and their version of biscuits and gravy. Food was sublime. Desert buffet out of this flipping world – best ny cheese cake I have had in years, unreal apple tart/pie combo. The tab pp is around $ 50 but since they sell the champ for $ 62 alone depending on ones drinking habits the meal can be almost n/c – amazing that they only double the retail on the wine to boot. I can not recommend the experience highly enough, a true slice of heaven in the heart of LA. Cheers!
