My husband and I went for breakfast/brunch this AM and we were the -only people- there!! This was at 11:30 on a Sunday. We were stunned.
This is the sort of place we need more of in this part of Westchester--funky, informal, non-fussy food and atmosphere. Not the greatest food in the world, but a comfortable hangout, a real break from the ubiquitous diner food that's really the only alternative around here. No Eggs Benedict in sight. A choice of 6 hot sauces on every table. Good fresh coffee. Art by local artists on the wall. The sense of a real person's presence there in the kitchen. The community needs to support this place, or it's just going to disappear.
That being said, the waitress said they're real busy on Fri and Sat PMs (live music) and expect big crowds on Sat AMs once the farmer's market across the way opens. But still.
