In September the furiously bubbling seafood soondubu jjigae at Danbi Korean Restaurant was just the right preflight lunch ticket before my bro dropped me off at SJC. A first time for both of us, he opted for the vegetarian version. No prob poaching the raw egg in this cauldron. Banchan selection was good for a lunch set.
Danbi's fast and friendly service, parking, tasty eats, air con and good ventilation checked off every box for us. Less than two miles from Mineta airport, it's an easy choice for a pre- or post-flight meal.
Danbi has stayed open for take-out during the pandemic. Not sure how soondubu would work for to-go orders, but I'd bet that other dishes are good too. What are your favorites here?
