The Daily Habit - fresh baked pastries at amazing prices

Krys Stanley | Jul 28, 200401:13 AM     4

The Daily Habit is a bakery a half a block away from the Sugar Bowl on Mission. It has the look of the bakery of the Cheese Board.

A huge piece of blueberry coffee cake similar to Specialties cafe was $1.25. The apple strudel had about 2 apples in it and was priced similarly. They have the only decent cup of coffee I've had in the Mission district ... $1.00.

I would rate them somewhere half way between Epler's and Tartine. Not a destination, but a very fine bakery if you are in the area. Much, much better than the Sugar Bowl.

It's a yuppie bakery without pretension, prices and yppies.

Ignore the sign ... they are closed Sunday and open Monday thru Friday 6am - noon. Saturday 8am - 1 pm
