Cypress Nook in Pompano, superb breakfast!

PennStater | Sep 29, 200403:22 PM

This tiny place that looks almost like a trailer just off Cypress Creek Road, east of I-95. Wow, what a gem. Met the German woman who owns the place, sure was nice. Only seats about 40 people and was packed on a weekday at 10:30am! They have stone tables outside to sit while you wait for a table.
I had the omelette with tomatoes, feta cheese and basil. Fantastic! The portion was huge, inside the tomatoes made the eggs a little moist, but just right and the feta was not overpowering. The bacon they serve is smoky and thick. Not sure what it's called, but one portion consisted of 5 long, thick slices!
Service was quick. They had hand written specials on the boards on the walls. There was a wait for a table when we left at about 11:30am with a mixed early lunch crowd. Business suits, ladies out to lunch, retirees, moms with small kids, seems everyone knows about this place but me!
