I've looked through all of the threads on cutting boards, but I couldn't find one that addressed my specific question.
I'm looking into buying a nice bamboo or wood board since I'm starting to invest in quality knives (all I have is plastic boards right now). I really like the idea of a wood/bamboo board, but here's my question.
How would you handle clean up if you were using it 2 or 3 times a day? Say I chop some veggies for my husband to take to work in the morning, chop up veggies/other at lunch and then I'm obviously chopping things for dinner. There's never meat involved unless its dinner time.
Can I just wipe down the board during the day (and if so, with what - just wet rag, soapy rag, water/vinegar mixture), and then wash it completely at night, or do I have to wash everytime I use it during the day?
If you say wash EVERYTIME I use it, I'm going to feel less inclined to get wood/bamboo...cause the thought of washing a heavy board 2-3 times a day doesn't sound appealing. :)
