This weekend I ordered twice from Curry Leaf on Remsen St., my first experiences with the restaurant. People have written positively about the restaurant, and I just wanted to get this restaurant back on the board, because I think it is indeed a great Indian restaurant. We had the Chicken Kadai, Chicken Vindaloo and biryanis. We asked for extra spicy, and the cooks obliged us. The Vindaloo was exceptional; you really could taste the vinegar, unlike many other restaraunts where the vindaloo is indistinguishable from a regular curry. Several nice touches included pieces of slivered ginger, caramelized onions, and slivered almonds as garnishes. I would venture to say that it is better than the Curry Leaf in Manhattan.
