I've searched the boards, but can't seem to find a similar question. My mother volunteered to bake cupcakes with a friend for the friend's nephew's wedding. They have already tested about a dozen recipes, and settled on 4 flavours (nothing very elaborate or filled... yellow, buttermilk, chocolate and coconut). My mother is an experienced baker, and is planning to do all the baking ahead of time and freezing the unfrosted cupcakes.
The question that she had was around how many cupcakes to bake: there are about 125 people invited, with no more than 10 in the wedding party, so around 135 in total at the absolute most. There was some discussion of making some of the cupcakes as mini-cupcakes, but that was not finalized.
This will be the dessert at the wedding; they are not having a cake.
Do any experiences bakers/caterers have any idea of how many cupcakes per guest? 1? 1.5? 2?
Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!!
