We are taking a trip to Croatia in late September. While I was sorely tempted by Istria and truffle season, we are suckers for islands, beaches, and so we couldn't resist the Dalmatian coast and don't have time for Istria this trip.
But that doesn't mean we are willing to sacrifice the quality of food.
We'd like to avoid the overpriced, frenchified food if possible. Want to emphasize fresh, authentic, and delicious. Love all seafood, esp mollusks and crustaceans, love prsut, love cheese, love wine... Well you get the picture. We're gluttons.
Any recommendations in Dubrovnik, Split and Vis Island would be very much appreciated. Dubrovnik especially!
On Vis I'm already interested in Jastozera, and Kod Paveta...
On Split I'm interested in checking out Buffet Fife, Nostromo, maybe Konoba Varos? But I haven't really begun to look.
In Dubrovnik I'm considering a day trip to Mali Ston to eat oysters. Where else should we go?
Considering a day trip to Trogir- any great places to eat there?
Thanks in advance!
