A new creperie, Crepuscule, has opened up right next to the Tunnel Top bar on Bush st. (diagonally oppposite the Hotel Juliana).
We tried it the other day and it was very good. There are a lot of crepe places in SF (mostly breakfast crepes, where everything is a hodge podge of all kinds of ingredients,) this one is more like Ti Couz.
A lot of the classic crepes, served thin and beautiful, not overflowing with stuffings.
I tried the La Chambord, with ham, egg, cheese, mushrooms. The egg was served sunny side up on the crepe itself. My husband had a make-your-own crepe, with Merguez (a spicy Spanish lamb sausage) and Reblochon...a combination which they highly recommended. Both were very satisfying.
The wine list is short but has wines which are very well thought out to go with the crepe offerings. I had a Chateau Montmirail Vacqueyras and my husband had a Languedoc Merlot (that I forget the name of).
Service is very good, personal; they are always willing to recommend crepe combinations.
They are open Mon-Sat 5pm-1am and for brunch on Sat and Sun.
