My girlfriend and I are going to be staying in the French Quarter for a week in April. I lived in Gentilly for years (though this is my first time back in a decade), and she's visited twice before, so we have a good sense of where we want to go and what our priorities are.

The one exception: are there any restaurants in town that regularly serve crepe cake? Or bakeries that sell it by the slice? We'll be in town for her birthday, and it's her favorite cake.

Thanks for being such an active board, not that that's surprising. I've been going through a lot of threads to get a sense of the best new-to-me restaurants, and it's exciting.
