Crazy Fish - Albuquerque

There were a couple of negative reviews on Crazy Fish when it first opened (link to discussion included below), however, my girlfriend and I decided to check it out last weekend.

Based on our experience, it appears that the restaurant may have acted on the critiques it first received.

Service was actually very attentive and courteous. We sat at the sushi bar and had a good discussion with the sushi chef. The waiter was also attentive.

Quality of the food was good as well. We recommend the garlic sashimi (more sweet than spicy), the spicy shrimp roll and the california dynamite roll. All were high quality and high volume (6-8 per plate). The unagi is solid as well.

In terms of Albuquerque sushi places, we found this a cut above Japanese Kitchen and I Love Sushi in terms of atmosphere, creativity and quality (nice to have a place that has more than teppanyaki). It also had none of the college sake-bomb crowd either. Our only critique was to remove the requirement for patrons at the sushi bar to fill out the paper with their order (it's always better to give it straight to the sushi chef as it develops better rapport and you can order as you go).

Overall, we will definitely return.
