Crawfish broil? (plus comments on food itinerary)

psychoidiot | Jul 5, 201502:22 PM     13

I know crawfish season is technically over but we don't really have anything like it in chicago (ok, angry crab but it wasn't very good).

Is there any place nearby the french quarter (or with a short cab ride) that still doing crawfish broils?

We're going to hit these places, please feel to comment:

Day 1 - July 8 (by myself)
Breakfast: Stanley's
Lunch: ?? Some kind of seafood place with some kind of boil
Dinner: ACME

Day 2 - July 9 (with my group arriving around 11am)
Breakfast: ? Cafe Beignet
Lunch: Emerils
Dinner: Superior Seafood NOLA (reservations made)

day 3 - July 10 (schedule set by others)
Breakfast: cafe du monde
Lunch: ?? not decided yet group of 10...
dinner: Galatoire (reservations made)

day 3 - July 11
Breakfast - Running the bulls... should be food trucks or something around there?

Our flight is 5pm, is that enough time to fit a lunch in? =D

What places would you recommend instead? I really want crawfish though.. else, shrimp and crab boils, where do I find those (near French Quarter with no car).

Also does anyone have suggestions for July 8 that's not in French Quarter, I'm exploring the French Quarter with the group in the other days.... but not sure where to eat and where to go. Apparently the St. charles Trolley is closed, I think I can still bus and take the canal st. trolley though.

Thanks!
