Thanks for responding to my post about Craigie Street -- we ordered both desserts (the panna cotta and the chocolate tart) and loved them. We also had a rabbit terrine, served with all the little accoutrements that make it such fun to eat. For an entree I had halibut poached in olive oil, served with 2 types of clams (one was cockles, I think) on a luscious green sauce in which I could detect flavors of cilantro, a hint of ginger, and I think coriander spice. Also in the dish were a few preserved/fermented black beans that gave it an extra little zing. If I were to name this dish, I'd call it Asian Spring. OH had an off-the-menu choice of lamb three ways --chop, shank, and kidney. Although he decided that kidney is not his cup of tea (sorry) he enjoyed the rest of the dish mightily.
The food was totally fabulous, and I think that what also sets Craigie Street apart is the quality of service. Everyone we encountered was both incredibly knowledgeable and extremely friendly--no attitude to be found. A definite winner.
