Crab & wine fest a bomb.

I volunteered at the crab and wine fest today in exchange for a premier pass ticket package. The place was a mad house, nothing but lines and lines and more lines to stand in to pay ridiculous amount of money for some food.

First, you had to stand in line to purchase/pick up your tickets(20-30 min). I heard they couldn't find a lot of people's tickets at will call. Then you had to stand in line to get in(10-20 min). Once you get inside, you had to stand in line again to exchange your ticket for the food & wine tickets. The food tickets were only $1 each. And most items cost at least $5, so people had to go back and buy more tickets if they didn't have cash. Then you had to stand in line again to get your food, another 30-40 minutes to pay $5 for a crab cake. A lot of places also ran out of food. I think the event organizers completely under estimated how many people would attend.

On the brighter side of things, the food wasn't too bad and there was a decent wine selection. The lines might be better tomorrow, but my suggestion is to save your money and go to the resturants instead. I've never seen so many angry customers and people wanting their money back before.
