There's a new Ukrainian bakery/grocery store we wandered into on Saturday. They had maybe 10 kinds of bread and we got a round loaf of absolutely delicious dark rye (all the signs were in Ukrainian, so I can't be more specific) for $1.50. The lovely woman working there asked if we'd like to try the "Ukrainian bagels," which are kind of like challah in the shape of donuts. Also tasty, though not something I'd put lox on. A bag of 5 or 6 set us back all of a dollar.
I'd be interested to hear about other people's experiences there. I bet they have all sorts of treats that we didn't get to explore.
