I know this will be sacrilege to many but as a single person who is not that into corned beef generally I am not going to buy a pre-packaged 10 lb hunk of raw corned beef to make corned beef hash once a year. And I am too old and wise to do the canned stuff.
Leaving deli corned beef hash. Boars Head if it makes a difference. I got a 1/4 or so slice and am now wondering if there is anything I should be doing to it to prepare it to try to make hash (first time experiment). I am not a like my food chunky kind of person. I want to flatten it and crisp it into a hard thin pancake.
So I'm wondering since its cooked should I boil it just a little and try to shred it? Just put it in a food processor?
Second question, I partially cooked some russet potatoes a couple of days ago and they have been in the fridge. Is that ok? Can I dice them to use? Safety concerns or how long they last in the fridge recommendations?
