Corn Salad Modification

I love this recipe. I am thinking about adding some canned pintos. I don't want to ruin a good recipe, not to mention the cost. Who thinks this will be good with the beans added?

Mexican Corn Salad

4 cups (2 16 oz cans) whole kernel corn, rinsed and drained
½ cup chopped sweet onions (maybe sautéed)
2 T green bell pepper flakes
½ cup sliced pimento stuffed green olives
½ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ t chili powder
¼ t salt
¼- ½ t pepper
