I've had a pretty good eating spell lately, thanks to many recs on this board, and just haven't had enough time to write them up.
However, I just came back from lunch at the century city mall and have a little rant. I rarely have time to drive anywhere during the lunch "hour" so when I go out with a friend, this is it. And I know they are in the process of remodeling and the new haute food court justifies a 20% hike in all the prices, right?
But I just paid $11 plus change for a turkey bolognese pasta to go at Coral Tree. This dish is probably an entire 99 cent box of angel hair and 1/4 lb of ground turkey/marinara mixture. Add in some labor cost and it probably cost them $3 to make. Nice markup. Maybe I should move into the food court restaurant business. Why does this place have the longest line in the mall? Wait, I'm withdrawing my question, as the longest line is actually panda express. Sometimes people just don't make sense.
I promise to write up the good stuff soon.
