I Coppi question

I ate at I Coppi over the summer, in the garden. We loved it, but when we passed through the dining room on our way out, it smelled very smoky from the brick oven. I'm considering going next week (when we'll likely want to eat inside), but am concerned about the smoke factor. Is this a constant problem?
