cool innovation in breakfast cereals

I grew up eating a lot of the Kellogg's sugary cereals, ie Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, etc. I never lost my liking, though over the years my tastes changed an I couldn't handle the excess of sugar- they really tasted like nothing but. I wound up only eating Frosted Flakes mixed 50/50 with Corn Flakes, and Fruit Loops never. I pretty much don't eat cereal anymore, except on a late-night whim.

So a few months ago my wife brings home new versions, with a third less sugar! It's a whole new ballgame... The Fruit Loops actually taste like artificial fruit, and there's some underlying corn flavor to Frosted Flakes.

I'd put this down as one of the best innovations in cereal in the last 20 years.
