Cooking Weights

This morning my bacon started out a little too wrinkly for my liking, so I reached for something I hadn't used in a long time: a weight, or "press". I've never owned a product sold as such; I use an old sad iron.

That got me thinking about what cooking weights other Hounds use, if anything, and what for. Panini? Spatchcocked chicken? Steaks or chops? Sauerkraut?

Do you use a product, a brick, a plate, a pan, beans, or what?

PS: I like how evenly cooked the "ironed" bacon came out.
