I'm trying to eat more whole oat groats (different than steel cut--they're the whole oat grain) and would like to use my rice cooker. I'm just curious if there is a good recipe for this? Also, do they need to be soaked the night before? How long will they keep, once cooked, in the refrigerator?
(What I've tried so far is using the "porridge" setting for 3 hours, but I'm not sure the oats come out as digestible as they could be....)
