Recently bought a small package of frozen whole squid (~7" long; 6-8 total) from my market. Know that fresh is better, but well, don't always see them where I shop.
Never cooked w/ squid before, but want to make a rainy-weather entree for two for Sun. night. First thoughts were Italian stuffed squid or some sort of briney tomato stew. Perhaps a Chinese dish...would like to keep them intact if possible for a more dramatic presentation.
Appreciate any ideas, recipes, and/or tips for prepping and cleaning. Suggestions for side dishes to accompany would be great, too. Thanks to you fine CH cooks, I have shed any fear of kitchen experimentation. You guys/gals are the best interactive cookbook around!
