Help with cookies!

xrevo57 | Feb 23, 2012 12:07 PM

Sooo I´ve been having problems baking Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies! Everytime I make them, the dough seems to be fine, although a bit on the moist side, and when I take them out of the oven they are totally flat!

At first I was using powdered vanilla extract because I am living in Spain and its difficult to find in liquid form. However, my Mom recently send me a box of all of the pre measured ingrediants to make cookies along with a bottle of vanilla extract. Obviously, the two ingrediants she was not able to send were eggs and butter. I made the cookies and they came out PERFECT! I assumed it was the vanilla extract.

However, I just made more with my own ingrediants and they came out flat!! I did everything exactly the same!! Is it possible that such a simple ingrediant such as flour or sugar could be slightly different in another color? I know that milk is indeed different, but its not even used in this recipe.

I was hoping somebody out there had any idea... I miss my cookies!!
